Tzivos Hashem
Jewish Children International - Tzivos Hashem

Tzivos Hashem has spent the past decade working to bring the dream of the Jewish Children's Museum to fruition. Tzivos Hashem is a global organization for jewish boys and girls up to age thirteen. It is designed to serve as a wellspring of Jewish identity for every Jewish child regardless of background, family status or orientation.

Tzivos Hashem operates on the premise that the future of the Jewish people pivots on the understanding of today's children. It is dedicated to fostering continuity and strengthening the bond between Jews, G-d, Israel and Torah by building on the natural enthusiasm, curiosity and spirituality, so abundant in children.

Tzivos Hashem is responsible for many popular programs that have become a vital part of contemporary Jewish life.

The Tzivos Hashem Newsletter and The Moshiach Times magazine are written for Jewish children. Each issue features stories and articles on Jewish topics by talented writers. The publications' artists and cartoonists have created beloved cartoon characters that enhance each issue. Both publications are translated into seven languages.

Tzivos Hashem is the innovator of a whole series of Traveling Craft Workshops that bring hand-on demonstrations of traditional Jewish crafts to schools, youth groups and camps. These workshops – Shofar making, Torah scroll preparation, Matza baking – have involved thousands of children and are a tremendous hit everywhere.

Other Tzivos Hashem programs include: the Bat Mitzvah club, Superphone Jewish Story Line, Boy Scout chaplains, a camp scholarship program, a children’s book publishing company and a yearly international Jewish knowledge bee. A child need not be a member of Tzivos Hashem in order to attend the many concert, rallies, cruises and fairs that Tzivos Hashem organizes, all with a special Jewish flavor.

On the humanitarian front, Tzivos Hashem has become very involved with children in the former Soviet Union. They have established two orphanages, a medical clinic, a food distribution center, camps and schools.

To date some 600,000 boys and girls have graduated from Tzivos Hashem to a fuller Jewish life. These alumni represent the broadest cross-section of Jewish children in America and around the world. Most are continuing to maintain strong Jewish ties during adolescence, on the college campus and beyond.
